Hi everyone I noticed this type of brown stringy algae. It is mainly on my sand bed and I think I have caught this pretty early. I did notice a couple air bubbles attached to the algae. My guess is it’s Dino’s and I have already moved forward with treatment. I have opened up my windows to increase oxygen/PH levels. I dosed Vibrant. Going to filter out the algae and put it into a filter sock (NOT DOING A WATER CHANGE). Increased feedings to bring up nutrient levels. (Cut down on GFO I’m using
I could really use a second opinion.
my parameters:
Salinity:1.025
Temp 78F
Alk: 9.1-9.3
Calcium: 420-450
Mg: 1210
Nitrates: 1-3 ppm
Phosphates: .00-.02 (this is why I believe it is Dino’s)
