Hello R2R reefers! Been noticing these white formations growing on a few of my snails for awhile at first I kinda just let it pass and now everytime I notice it it drives me crazy because I just dont know if its something to be concerned about or good bad whatever, it was just like 2 ceriths that had it also one of those 2 i nicknamed Frankensnail lol he had green and blue neon color formations that would pop out feather dusters pretty neat to watch but these white spots look like sand volcanoes and havent noticed any movement at all from the holes so idk?? Now almost every shell shows some white or alot of white spots or formations, im sorry these pics arent the best my phones camera sucks, ive done search after search online to no avail! Possibly barnacles but from what I can tell those arent as shiny white or gritty like these

Tube worm of some kind in the first pic. The tiny curled dots clear in the last pic are spirorbid worms. 2nd down looks to be the same, but it's very blurry and they are more clustered than normal.

I just looked up spirorbod worms this eve but the pics looked nothing like mine they looked bigger and on glass and such these ive only seen on the shells, any way to know for sure? And if so should I be concerned?

It’s all good and normal. They will grow much bigger in certain areas.

2nd pic might be something else. Last pic is spirorbid. No worries with spirorbid or tube worms in general.

Spirobid worms on the shells. You can remove each snails and in a container of tank water scrub off gently with a clean toothbrush

good advice! Thinking of purchasing a 6 line this weekend, do you all think thats a bad idea? Ive read so many mixed reviews. I currently have 2 fire fish, 2 yellow tail damsels, a clown, mimic tang, and ban. cardinal and a cleaner shrimp

Tank size?

Edit: just noticed tang. Assuming this is a large tank. Should be okay. I only see issues with the firefish, but those are fast.
