hello I have 2 misbar ocellaris clowns in QT right now... they have been treated with prazi twice and have been in the therapeutic range of cupramine for about 10 days. Today I noticed a few small patches of a white film or something on the female. I am not sure it it is flukes or something else. Any help would be appreciated.. they are both eating but not aggressively

Not sure but could it be Brook?
Doesn't look like brook. Fish start shaving their mucus off with brook. And they die pretty fast. If I had to guess, I’d say ich. If you suspect flukes, you could freshwater dip and they should come right off.

Looks like you’ve already got them in QT! Good luck!

I took the advice and did the fw dip. Lots of flukes fell off. I was surprised because I had treated with prazi. Now am doing hypo and thing seem to have cleared up almost overnight

Hopefully the hypo will take care of any possible inch that was around as well. Goes to show how important quarantine is for all new fish

I have heard of a lot of people experiencing prazi resistant flukes after some research. So I am going to have to re think my standard QT procedure. Thanks for all the timely responses

I just happened upon your thread and just wanted to make sure that you weren't also doing the copper with hypo because the two treatments aren't safe to do together.

I am also dealing with Prazi resistant flukes I used hypo for one fish and fenbendazole for the other ones. Good luck!

I am not currently running copper. I did not know it was dangerous to do both. thanks for looking for me :)

Very important to remember: when you are starting to increase the salinity when your treatment time ends you want to do that very slowly. When I come out of Hypo I only increase .003 per day. Very easy. Don’t rush as going up is harder on the fish than coming down.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
