Can anyone help identify this animal in my tank? I recently added a starfish and this looks like offspring. Can you confirm.

Image not very clear, according to your description it most probably is an Astrena starfish, some consider them as bad pests others consider them as good CUC. I would keep them as long as their number stays under control, too much of anything is bad.
