Help Identifying White Things

Hi all,

I am busy getting my tank back up and running after moving house. All my rocks and livestock were in a temporary small tank just piled together. Now moving it to my main display tank, I notice these little white cylindrical things. I assume they are a harmful pest and I should do something about it before I start adding livestock back.

If you know what they are, please tell me and also some suggestions on dealing with it

Pineapple sponges!

They are harmless filter feeders. I usually find them in darker parts of the tank and under overhangs.

Looks like pineapple sponges to me - agreed with the above, they are harmless. I believe they usually go away on their own.

Thank you guys. It would make sense that they were previously hidden as the rocks were piled on top of one another to make my 475l tank's rocks fit in a 180l. Now that the rocks are turned around and spaced out all the things that were hiding between them are visible.
