I saw this today on the side of the frag base of my GSP, Acan, and some on my Tonga torch. It appears to be some sort of white growth.

Anyone know what this is? Here are a few pics. Thanks

I can't say I've ever seen anything like it before. And I would like to know what it is, so I'll be following.
Lets try and get some extra help... #ReefSquad

I have this too! At first I thought the white spots was from my urchin eating algae away to the rock but it totally looks like this. I am following along because I also have NO idea what it could be lol.

I see spirorbid worms on the acan frag. Those things can spread in your tank fast but they’re harmless filter feeders.

Anything to worry with them growing on the side of the coral?

No problem. They stay put in their shell and just feed off the water. You can scrape them off easily. I usually see them on the back wall of tanks or overflow boxes.
