Help ID'ing a couple of things.

I've been wanting to ask someone the name of this coral for a while but just didn't get around to it.
I bought it a few month ago as an easy to care for coral but cant for the life of me remember the name. I've also noticed lately it has green seaweed looking things now growing from the sides of it which I'm pretty sure havnt always been there. Is this normal?
The second is a bit more of a mystery. I dont know how I've never noticed before now but can anyone tell me what these little white flower looking things are that are growing from my rock? Are they good or bad? I'm having a bit of a brown algea issue at the minute which seems to have came from nowhere, my snails aren't touching it. That is what can be seen in the pics.
