The attached picture is from my FO tank with live rocks (the tank 6 months old after the setup and cycle). While I was changing out the media from reactor chamber, I decided to clean the pump ( I normally just disconnect the supply water line and leave the pump only) I found white growth on the pump. Then I looked closely at the equipment in the sump and it is growing there too. What is it and if it harmful how do I treated/remove it?
