HELP!! I'm scared my tank is crashing.

PO4 & Nitrate should never read 0, there should always be SOME PO4 & nitrate, otherwise stuff like dino's will take over.

Not having too many nutrients is an art, but not having 0 nutrients is controlling yourself to get them as low as possible.

I personally see less issues running higher PO4, than striving for 0.01 (mine is 0.5 atm - no algae issues, corals look amazing, no dino's) When I was chasing 0.1-0,15 PO4 i just kept running into issues - bacterial bloom -> dino's etc.

I wouldn’t say “crashing”. You may not like the current look of it, but corals responding well is the important thing.

I try to keep my display tank nice and clear, but my Nem tank is dirty! My nems love it, so I barely fight it

I would definitely get the corals cleaned off while fighting this. Turkey Baster is a tool every fish keeper should keep on hand. It’s almost invaluable. I think once you get the funk off them they will open up more.

Stop water changes it fuels growth.
Remove gfo
Suck out dino through 10micron sock into bucket and pour water back into the tank

Keep activated carbon in the tank.

Dino realise toxins to kill competition. They use light photosynthesize when conditions get right they go into predator mode.

What is the physical difference between Dino’s and Cyano. How is everyone sure this is a Dino issue. Curious as I am having a “Cyano” issue.

Going to test that right now. Will report back soon. Tank is about 9 months old.

Your tank is young. As it matures and stabilizes, this is likely to self correct. Manual removal by siphoning off during water changes would be something to try.

Are you using tap water for water changes or RODI?

I'm currently experimenting with Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) in one of my tanks that has some algae. At the recommended dose of 1ml/10 gallons, it doesn't appear to have any effect.

I once battled Cyano which self corrected over time (3-4months). I believe this will do the same.

just had a Jungle of dino and went SUPER LOW light and Peroxide 6 days applying it at night and basting dino loose to my overflow into filter socks and every bit of it is gone

At what dose?

The only way to know for sure is through microscopic examination.
.

I agree with others regarding dinos. Lots of info and mis-info out there. Here is an account of my battle with dinos ; it’s something that can be beat ; uv + raising and balancing N and P helped for me. Good luck
