Hello friends.

Nerd your help please.
I bought sps corals month ago, but I see that coral start bleaching below .
The water parameters are perfect.

I see holes in the coral, I broken it apart then I see a lot of worms inside.

I made Aquaforest coral deep before I put it in my my tank, but probapbly they not died.
Can you please watch the attached photos and tell me if they are dangers and is there any good medication that can kill these parasites .

I have more corals from this dealer , I really suspect the they have worms too.

Do I need to brake apart the rest corals , look at the photos.

What to do please???

Thanks in advance.

There are some experts on here that I'm sure we'll be able to help you, you should post your actual water parameters and some info on your tank and lighting

I'm not sure if the worms are your issue. They seem like they are just living in the dead areas of the base. There's lots of weird little creepies that live in our tanks all the time, I like to keep wrasse and hogfish to keep them minimal.

There is not much that eats Pocillopora and I would bet that worm is just living in the dead skeleton not hurting anything? You say you have lots of them? I don’t see any actual damage on any of those corals besides dead parts where the light isn’t getting to. They look pretty happy to me.

I dont know what to tell you.
What can I tell that these worm make holes in the coral skeleton, and I see the coral start bleaching down.
All the rest corals are good, but I am afraid that the bleaching made by these worm, just want to be sure 100% that these kind of worm are coral safe abd will not damage my corals.

Waiting for expert here that know this worm to tell his opinion.

And thanks again for everyone that trying to help.
You just amazing.

The photo of the non broken corals I uploaded are still complete, I just afraid that there is a cancer worm inside that can damage the coral.
I broke just one .

I think the above responses are what you need to hear. AFAIK, there are no “coral worms” or worm pests that affect your sps, namely your pocillopora. There are holes naturally where polyps are. I think those are worms already in your tank that are opportunistically living on the tissue. Someone said the bleaching may be from the lower parts of the coral being shaded, hence “bleaching” it. A lot of people in this sub forum are knowledgeable, but there isn’t a named “expert” here. FWIW, the colony your broke apart looked ok.

Thank you vety much.
Just let me understand you correctly:
You say that even I found worms inside the coral and there are big holes and caves there, is still ok.
And this worm that you see in the photo above will not makes problem.

Am I understood well?

IME, when I see things “living” on a dead coral, be it an LPS or SPS, it’s cleaning up dead tissue, unless it’s a species specific pest (ie Acropora eating flatworm) that’s actually eating the coral, alive. I haven’t heard of anyone having a problem with the type of worm you’re depicting, not saying it’s not possible, just haven’t seen it, ever. If the base of the coral has some nooks and crannies things can reside in, then they may live in there. Plenty of my frag plugs are occupied with 2-4 mini brittle star fish, pods, small little worms, but they just live there. I’ve had wild Acropora colonies that aren’t attached to anything with little critters that live on the underside of the base, but they weren’t pests...
