What type of copper are you using?

What is your Cu level?

How are you testing?

Copper is definitely an appetite suppressant. If your levels are higher than necessary, that could supress even further.

The spots on fins of hippo could just be lympho.

thanks for the quick replay
Brightwell Aquatics CUPRION ionic coopr
trying to keep the level around 0.5; testing with ROYAL NATURE test set
isnt that an starting of bacterial infection??
its bilateral.. on both sides

i saw in the QT stringy white poo but not specifically from those..i cant tell from which fish it is

what does it mean?? intestinal worms?? prazipro on its way to me

and thanks for your help

The yellow tang appears to have textbook Mycobacterium infection. Trouble is, fish with that disease usually eat quite well, but waste away anyway. You say it's not eating, so is may just be organ damage. The Hepatus has HLLE (obviously). It may have Mycobacterium as well. I'd get both out of the copper ASAP.

That form of copper is therapuetic at .2ppm

I would lower the level and see if they start eating.

thanks guys for the advice.. i will try to arrange another QT and get both out to see what happen.. i am on day 11 of therapeutic cooper level and the other fishes just doing OK.. eating .. swimming and have no signs of disease...

i will also arrange an focus and metroplex... and my question is to treat all the fishes or just the ones that have a white poo.. is the intestinal worms contagious ??

update... i turned the light on to feed and this what i see.. the fins are looking better.. but what the heck is that.. cloudy eye.. some white incrustation on the sides.. the other side seems ok

i lowered the level of cooper to 0.25... the guys seems happier and more interested in food.. i will keep the level that way for the whole treatment period..
i am worry about the hippo now... can any one advice me what to do with the eye...
also my wrasse showing partially cloudy eyes.. and a little rotten tail...

update and another asking for help

keeping cooper level at 0.2-0.25 and the fishes seem happier...

the regal treated with ciprofloxacin dips for a week and healed extraordinarily.. restarted eating.. and looks very happy.. (i haven't any other medication on hand; i dont know if it was a self limiting disease or the ciprofloxacin helped)

now to the main problem: the yellow tang just exacerbating his symptoms.. since 5 days he is not eating at all.. looks like a bony skeleton.. trying to seduce him with brine shrimp, some seaweed, adding garlic guard to pelletized food or flakes.. nothing helped... he stays in one corner of the QT.. not swimming much.. breathing is ok.. and since he is not eating he produces no poo..

meanwhile: cooper at 0.2; ammonia ok; yesterday done a 50 % water change; and added another air stone.. all other fishes are eating very well...

do you have any ideas how to approach this kind of a problem.. i am disparately want to save him.. please help

hello Humblefish

as i said earlier i saw stringy white poo on the bottom of the QT but not specifically from this fish for some days at the beginning of quarantining.. when you asked me first i have inspect the tank for some time but never saw it again...also i can say for sure that this fish is not passing poo for the last 3-4 days

all the other fishes doing just fine; this one swims a little; not eating..

do you think of intestinal worms or something else

do you thing of intestinal worms or something else

It could be, as internal parasites/intestinal worms are transferable.

If he’s not eating, your only option would be to dose praziquantel & metronidazole into the water. API General Cure contains both medications.

ok will do it. i have API GC. when i supposed to see signs of improvement ??

i think that i have no much time... can I enteraly fed him with a small tube or so.. or it doesn't worth the try??

wow very helpful
i will try to get the sedation drug.. i already arrange a syringe with a plastic tube.. very informative and promising
meanwhile dosed the GC..
there is still hope .. thanks a lot humblefish you are so helpful.. will post any updates
