This is my first time putting an anemone in my tank... can anyone tell me if it looks ok?! Thank you!

Age of tank, lights and parameters? Pics don't tell much when nems are introduced. Sometimes need a couple weeks to really show stress.

How long has the tank been running ?
Do you have a picture with white lights ?
About 8 months... I’ll have to wait and take a picture tomorrow when the lights are fully on, I don’t want to change any settings or my husband will kill me

Is it supposed to be open like that?
Yes but no .
it’s hard to tell not knowing many variables
Such as how long it’s been in there ( possibly stressed from a new system )

stretching out to capture light ( it’s main source of energy )
Water quality ( newer systems are more likely to have large parameter swings which could also cause stress

and finally ( when I said it looks white ) different species are meant look like this . But not being able yo properly identify it with the blue lights it’s either normal
Or bleached

proper lighting And stable mature systems make adding anemones much easier

It’s only been in there since yesterday... the tank has been running for 8 months and water parameters have been stable for months...
As far as I know, it’s supposed to be that colour, but I could be wrong...

Have a list of current parameters? Nitrate, phosphate and alkalinity? I don't see anything to be concerned about and looks like a sebae.

yes that’s what it is! I was concerned that the mouth is open like that, I was reading that it could be a sign it’s in trouble...

Can't give any help without knowing parameters. Once those are ok, then it's just lighting and making sure RODI is being used.
