HELP is my mantis molting or dead

My mantis has been acting really weird recently he hasn’t been eating for five days and this morning when I woke up he was upside down and not moving so I’m scared that he’s molting or he is dead

I've never had a mantis, but typically when a shrimp molts, it hides to protect it's new, softer shell for a few days. From the photo, this doesn't appear to be the case.

Is he moving at all? Normally a molt would happen in its burrow. Are there any marks on the shell? Shell rot is pretty deadly to Mantis

No it wasn’t Sadly he did pass away

I'm sorry I did think ur water temp was a little low for a mantis shrimp. Other then that only thing I seen and wouldn't have out right killed ur shrimp.

No He was really old and likely died of old age
