Hello,

So I've had this red frilled green center RFA since July 2020. Here is a pic of it when I got it

The last 2 days, it was closed up and I woke up this morning to see it detached an in a ball, I don't see the color on it anymore. I saw it floating around and hurried to put it on a random frag plug I had hoping it would reattach itself. But to me its looking like its dead but wanted confirmation here.

I'm wondering what could have happened? My parameters as of the recent WC are 430 Calc, 9.9 Alk, 1038 Mag, Salinity 1.025, Temp 78, Phosphate 0.05, Nitrate 5. I have 2 clowns, 1 ruby red headed fairy wrasse, and a diamond goby with a pistol shrimp.

Is it cause I don't feed it? I was told that feeding is optional from other messengers here and from YouTube videos. I have another white RFA and I wouldn't want to lose it too. Thanks for your guys' help

It is still alive and could recover. Good call putting it in the tupperware with the frag plug. It's weird that it let go completely, any reason it wouldn't have liked the spot it was in? How are the other nems doing?

Also your alk is a bit high and mag is a bit low..

Feeding them is a great idea but not 100% necessary

Hey thanks for the response, so from the first pic it would move up and down around that rock but would maybe move at most 1 inch from its original spot. There is a white RFA that I put by the original red and green RFA in the picture, probably in the same spot that the orange and green RFA use to be in (that one died in a week I don't know why). As of right now the white RFA has left that spot and settled itself in another rock but is looking alive and healthy.

Yea I could never figure out why parameters were like that. I dose Tropic Marin All for Reef 5mls a day, keeps like Alk at 9.6-9.9 and Calc at around 420-430. I have crazy Mag consumption and the AFR doesn't seem to keep up so I have to dose an additional 20mls of Redsea Magnesium Foundation. I recently ran of of the Red Sea supplement which is why my mag dropped a whole bunch.
