Help me identify this algae please! It’s taking over and my water looks like crap too. My Nitrate and phosphate bottomed out a few days ago. Tank is only 3 months old. IMG_1282.jpeg

You can buy phosphate to raise that, I would not attempt to raise by feeding more because you only want to raise phosphate not everything else that comes with the food. Ammonia will definitely raise nitrate just go slow, that can be powerful stuff.
He needs to raise phosphate and nitrate, feeding is the easiest way.

Not really because when you dose them directly you know exactly the ppm you are dosing. Also, what food is it? Reef roids, aka amino acid dino fuel? I never tell anyone with dinos to just feed more. Sodium nitrate and trisodium phosphate are way cheaper than food when comparing the quantity of nitrate and phosphate you get from the source.

No coral in the tank? If so, turn off lights cover with a sheet for 48 hrs. Once removed don't use tank lighting for a couple weeks, no water changes, and continue feeding like normal. Continue to add diversity to the tank wherever possible. ipsf.com has some really great packages for adding diversity
