I bought 6 green chromis all around 2" yesterday. They're in a qt tank with copper power at 2.30ppm. I noticed this guy a little nippy with the others. Is this euronema or missing scales from fighting? It does look a little red

. Thoughts? Should I remove this one guy and euthanize him. Going to get metronidazole today because I thought I still had, turns out I ran out.

All the other chromis look fine

Uronema is oval and ciliated and these dots represent bite marks from either other chromis, damsels or clowns

Thank you for the quick reply. That's a relief, I can separate him with a divider and still treat with metro like I planned
No metroplex which is for internal mainly and makes food taste bitter and must be used precisely
Ruby rally pro safer and treats an array of issues

I'll look into it. I was following humblefish's qt guide. Copper/metro for two weeks then prazipro after that. I've never used rally before or have seen it at my local fish shops.

That is a short quarantine protocol and actual uronema treatment is formalin which is not readily available and next best- ruby rally pro which also addresses bacterial, fungal and velvet issues

Uronema usually creates angled vertical linear lesions. This looks more like bite marks.

Metro is really overrated as a treatment and its effect is mostly redundant for copper. The only thing I use metro for is dosed in the food at 1% to control internal gut flagellates.

My LFS had these chromis for a month. Would euronema have killed them if they did have it present in the system? Or can they live with it and be alright? I'm trying to do preventative QT and just get rid of any diseases. I read that euronema is like velvet, soon to kill off everything once it's there.

I don't have formalin on hand I can't find evidence that rally pro treats euronema. Can I use rally pro with copper?

Yes, it works fast and again, not uronema. Its mechanical damage from aggression. Below is what Uronema looks like on a chromis.

No - since the stress of moving, transferring can cause uronema and disease. Not saying it is - just saying its possible
