Help is this glass or acrylic…..

Hey everyone. Got a free tank today so I wasent going to pass it up. However the person I got it from knew nothing about it. Is this glass or acrylic? Iv read some forums and it seems to be panels silicones together and has a rim around it which makes me think glass but when I tap on it it reminds me of plastic more however I have a glass evo 13.5 and it doesn’t have a distinct ring to it so maybe my hearing isent the best. Here are some pictures what do y’all think… that’s just dish soap in the top the tank was pretty gross

I would hazard a guess and say glass. Acrylic is not done like that.

Also it doesn’t clean up as well as my glass tank but maybe that’s how old glass is? Idk…..

I had a 40yr old glass tank. It did not clean up nicely either. I have just never seen acrylic be joined like that or need a rim.
There are some products for cleaning glass up. Could try those. I do not know what they are, but just make sure it is cleaned thoroughly afterwards.

my wifes tank is identical and believe it or not my lfs guy said it was glass sides w acrylic viewing pain. to clean buff w a mild auto compound and finish out w fine compound

Looks like glass to me.. As mentioned above. acrylic is not typically joined the way your photos show,

definitely glass. It has a green tint when looking in from the edge of the glass(5th picture)

It’s very clearly glass. Look at the seams from the outside, you can see that it’s glass, acrylic doesn’t look blue from the side like glass does.

Thank you all for the advise! I really appreciate it! I’m going to assume it’s glass based on everyone’s feed back, if by some weird chance the front is acrylic than o well wasent ment to be abd I’ll find out when i try to clean it lol! My next adventure is figuring out how to drill and plumb it. If anyone has advice on that shoot if not I’ll make a new thread! Thank you all !
