I just placed 4 lyretail anthias (1 male, 3 female) in my DT after purchasing from a vendor that sells QT fish. This morning I noticed a white line on the side of one of the females that appears to be bulging out slightly with some scale loss. Now I've noticed a similar white line developing on another female. Is this the beginning of the uronema end? Pics attached.

I don't have a hospital tank up and running, but could get it going in the next couple of days.

Once in a while some of us can use good news- it’s post injury and with good water quality and diet, it should heal on its own

Looks like Trauma. Watch for signs of infection - i.e. blood streaking, in the fins (a systemic infection) - or any worsening of the wound. Like @vetteguy53081 said - it should heal on its own. If you believe in things like stress coat - and you have a Fowlr (I do not necessarily believe in it) - you could try that as well

Thank you!!! I'm so relieved I'm almost in tears. I just finished a 6 week fallow at 81 degrees for ich, on what is supposed to be my dream tank. I didn't have it in me to tear it down and sterilize everything.

Thank you! As I mentioned above, I couldn't handle more bad news.

Stress coat may not have much effect in saltwater but MnFish is likely referring to protection against bacteria or CC dores
Ruby rally pro or even seachem kanaplex would be one to acquire if needed

Well, it looks like bad news after all. This is the fish that had the faint beginning of a white line yesterday. Went to feed this morning and she was dead. The other female with the white line is MIA, assuming dead and stuck under a rock. I'm going to euthanize the male and last female (both showing signs) and then breakdown and sterilize.
