My jawbreaker colony all of suddeny just shriveled up, no other coral in the tank seems to be impacted, everything else looks normal. these guys have been in the tank for 2+ years, i haven't made any changes to my routine in the last few days, temp looks OK (79 degrees), CA/ALK/Nitrates/Phosphate are normal range they have been at for months.

Any ideas? potential coral warfare?

adding a before and after photo, its been about 24 hours like this, I did a 10% water change last night after noticing but no change today.

Bummer

Some Poly-Filter could help, but keep an eye on your phosphates and nitrates.

If they are still shriveled up, do an ATI or Triton ICP test.

I do run poly-fil, my nitrates and phosphates seem to be in check, they are low when i test and i sometimes dose accordingly to keep them up a bit to not starve corals. i run a 10g so its usually a low maintenance tank

Sounds good.

If you don't have anything in your reef that could be causing chem-warfare / Toadstool / zoas / plays etc...

I'd pull an IPC test from Triton or ATI to rule things like heavy medals.

thanks, i do have a bunch of zoas but they are closer to my other shrooms (OG, franks) than my JBs, but I just added a new bag of chemipure carbon to see if it helps. Also heavy metals should be traceable in the TDS readings no? my replacement water still showing 0 TDS at the moment

Yeah,
Unless you have a razor blade or screw sunk in there.

Sometimes, flow can take the chem-ware from one side of the tank to the other.

Might want to change the flow to see if your shrooms open up
