White spots?
I'm posting pics of my 8 ga tank. I have major white hard spots all over the back of my tank. My 20 ga has them too. What is it?

I don't know what it is but I had them all over the back and glass of one of my tanks. It scrapes right off. Didn't seem to do anything to the livestock. Maybe mineral build up?

Found this guy on the wall of my 8 ga. I plucked it out but would like to know if it has an id?

My new babies for the 20 ga. They are ST Mocha Oc. So funny with a lot of personality. They love to get in front of the Koran IA circulation pumps and swim against the current

OOOOOOH no good!!
Your rock and tank got the RT-Ick!

LOL, just snail eggs in your case.
You just can scrape it off if too much.

Yellow nudi is your creature.

Nice clowns, although clowns are not my fish they can have a cool personality.

Lol, glass ick. I scrape and scrape and they keep coming back. I wouldn't mind them if it didn't look dirty! We got the clowns because my 8 yo daughter wanted "Nemo" the mocha color gave a kick to boring clowns. Happy with both tanks and am enjoying them a lot!

Very happy for you!

Always finding new things in our tanks. Here is a new find (piece of rock I've had for almost two years). They look almost like feather dusters when I turned the light back on. Tiny... I mean about the size of a pin head. I did a double take tonight because I hadn't any glowing frags under that rock! Sorry about the horrible picture. It was under blues and the tiny glowing guys look neon green in the pic but in person they are neon yellow. It's a whole cluster of them. Any ideas? If they are feather dusters do they all glow??? If not feather dusters is this something to get rid of? Thanks guys.

Great. They are on a rock with a bunch of RPE and some zoa's. How do I kill them off. Of course this rock is at the bottom of large rocks. It's never easy is it

These are pods, right? They are taking over my 8 gallon tank. Can I do anything to get rid of them. They are really starting to aggravate my zoas

amphipods and yes, i agree they can be quite annoying. i personally have way too many to try to eradicate, however, i've noticed that they generally only bother my zoos/palys that are not doing so hot to begin with. When i see them picking away at the zoos, i move the frag plug to my in-tank frag rack which is away from the rockwork and difficult for the amphipods to get to. Once they heal up, i can put them back and the amphipods will leave them alone. I don't really ever see them bothering an established colony.

Granted, your experience may differ. I hear a melanarus wrasse can potentially make short work of them. I'm sure there are other species as well.

I'll tell ya how to get rid of 'em. Mail 'em to me!! XD

Or you could borrow someone's hungry dragonet for about a week...
