Here's my 8 gallon today. When lights go out there are 100 ' s of these. The jumbo ones even hang out during the day. I would hate to break my tank down just to do a fw dip but if I have to I will. The pod outbreak is OK in my 20 gallon but dang this little tank is swarming. They make my skin crawl!

Get 1 red ruby dragonet.

Just one small drop of Bayer will take care of it.
Make sure one hour later you do a 50% WC and again the next day too.
Also keep some sort of bacteria on hand to spike your tank.
But a small wrasse or a RR dragonet will do the trick too.

Ok so I recorded these nasties. You can see how big they are next to my corals. The rocks come alive when lights go out

No Dragonet can eat those! Lil buggers will crawl right out of their mouths, proven fact! Get a ball of tight chaeto and bait it with freeze dried plankton. Then pull the chaeto gently using a net to catch any stragglers.

So I got a small 6 line wrasse. He's temporary and will go into the bigger tank. He took care of most of the pods the first day. He's pretty shy new question. I did a 50% wc and a fw dip. Phosphates were at 0.25 and I saw a few creepy crawlies. Anyway I've never done it to my mushroom and I wasn't paying attention and left them in the fw for about 20 min they are NOT happy. Looks like worms are crawling out of them. Will they be ok?
Side note.... zoa's are happy happy

Mushrooms have stomachs and when they are stressed they do that with their stomachs. It doesn't mean for sure they won't be OK, they often recover when that happens but sometimes they don't. You'll just have to wait and see.

Cool they are already looking better. I don't know why but my phone is finally letting me get some nice shots. I don't do anything other than crop. This is under blue only

Had to move my tank today so pulled all my frags off the plugs and glue to the rocks. Everything seems happy. It's now on my night stand so I can see it better at night. Pure happiness!

If you let the algae grow and manually remove it you will remove the phosphates from the rock which is what is feeding the algae. That dude owes you a new tank IMHO

Yes it's been 6 months to get it back in order. A bit of an algae bloom right now but everything is doing really well. I also have a 20 gallon with a Mocha Clown and a 6 line wrasse and a few misc corals I didn't want in the 8 ga. I lost one of the mocha clowns but the larger of the two (it's maybe 1 1/2") is doing great. It wants to eat non stop!

Eienna, I put it in the 20 ga. After I took care of my pod problem. The only things in there are soft corals, hermits, snails, a sexy shrimp and an emerald crab.

Updated picture of my 8 ga nano. It's back and doing great! Better than before it was destroyed. Thanks to all that helped me get it going again.

Orange mushroom frags. The one dead center is one of the 1/4's. It's the only one who's attached to rubble. They are only about 10 days though. Amazing how fast they heal!
