Been using the korallin s3002 denitrator for last 3-4 months with good results.

I noticed today, all of the media, say 12 inches worth of sulphur and 4 inches of calcium, that normally sit at the bottom of the reactor (sulphur first, sponge , then calcium) has slid up off the bottom by 4 inches, all in synch (sulphur is up 4 inches, sponge is up 4 inches, calcium is up 4 inches) and calcium is now very close to fitting at top that puts water back into the tank .

What would cause this? Has been making 0 nitrate and 0 nitrite .

Evening,

Not exactly sure what would have caused it. Had you made any adjustment to the effluent rate before this happened or maybe notice any blockage on the intake or outlets?

Maybe someone has experienced this and can help

Nothing I know have has changed. I did manage to get it back down to where it was. I turned off the recirculating pump that sits on top of it, the Eheim pump. Unplugged for a minute or so and it gradually fell back to where or belonged. Not sure why that fixed it or what caused it to begin with
