My lawnmower blenny recently hasnt been getting a fat belly like it used to. Used to look like he was about to explode. I tried feeding him nori but he doesnt want it. Any ideas. I can catch him very easily he will swim up on my hand and perch if given the chance if i need to put him in qt. Ive had him for maybe a year he always was well fed on the algae in the tank

Have you tried any frozen foods? While they need algae to survive my opinion is they need other foods too. Have you tried any frozen mysis, or maybe the Hikari spirulina brine?

He nip at rods food, i tried frozen peas that were mushed together and the skin removed. My sixline and clown loved it but the blenny didnt care. He has a pinched stomach. Im not sure if its a parasite. But i havent added fish in maybe 6 months

Ya i see him sometimes picking at the glass sometimes. Its a little hard to get a good pic. But on the belly that white part is pinched. Its wierd because sometimes ill see it go away slightly. I offer him the nori everyday but he doesnt seem to be taking

That doesn't look good. My lawn mower blenny is the fattest fish in my tank. His belly is always full.
Have you tried giving him anything meaty? My blenny loves meaty foods and chows down on any meaty frozen cube food along with the rest of the fish.

Ya i feed pe mysis daily and he seems to grab a few pieces. It used to be where he would have a belly that looked like it was about to pop

My lawn mower blenny's stomach did indeed pop, so you might want to watch it and make sure it's pooping OK. My blenny got so backed up he couldn't poop. Eventually his gut ruptured.
