Help Mandarin goby??

im not sure i 100% understand what your asking? if your asking what they eat i have gotten lucky with mysid shrimp and cyclopeeze

Brine is useless. Live copepods (and more and more copepods!!!) and Nutramar Ova are the way to go. I personally believe that if you can get it eating frozen mysis and/or NLS pellets, so much the better, but LIVE COPEPODS. Tisbe variety is best but tigriopus (often sold under the name of tigger-pods) will do in a pinch.

So I got some live pods today, I see him already nipping at the rocks. He seems to just let most shrimp float right by , but continues to nip at the rocks is that ok.

Yeah, he's probably eating pods off them. Be aware that he will knock their numbers down quickly; my small mandarin required a bottle a month (after an initial addition of 3-4 bottles) until he was eating frozens reliably.

Dragonets have very small mouths. He may be unable to take the usual frozens for a while; that's part of why nutramar ova rocks - it's the perfect size from them and protein-packed. It also looks very natural to them so most will take it.

I figure if I dose pods every week for the next month and a half and then if drop to once a month. And I noticed him picking before I put the pods in my tank is like 5 years old. It's moved 2 times but its the same set up every time

Watch him closely for any weight loss. How much are you dosing per week?

He seems happy and seems to be eating away

does he look healthy to u guys, he pecks all day I don't see what he's pecking at but I think he's eating.

Good news is, he doesn't look starved, which most come like that from the Lfs, I would try to get a sump and what size tank is it or even a hang on back fuge, you need to have a breeding population for it to be healthy

I've been looking for a sump I'm gonna have to make one. Just can't decide glass or acrylic. I have all the measurements just have to buy and build
