ok over the next couple days I will be redoing my 90 reef. I want a majority sps reef. I will be removing all the sand and going BB. I will also be redoing my plumbing.

for my flow I have 2 sureflow modded maxi jets with the 2100 impellars in them and also 2 koralia 1's they were from a 20l I had set up. now the question:

how would you arrange them for the best flow for the sps. there is also some zoas and I think 6 rics/yumas.

Kind of an open-ended thing, but I'll offer a couple of things to start. Those Koralia 1 pumps aren't going to move enough water in a 90 to be worth the trouble. Modded maxijets will make a difference, though. I assume you're attaching the mods to Maxijet 1200s? You might try mounting a Maxijet on each end of the tank and putting them on separate timers that will allow you to turn them on and off at 15-min. intervals. Then you can have alternating flow in the tank and, at times, have them both on, creating a different kind of turbulence. Note that I'm assuming you'd rather not spend the money for a wavemaker/controller. I've had good luck doing this with Grasslin timers, not the electronic ones. Here's the F&S link. You also might mount one Maxijet rather high in the tank and the one at the other end rather low. The low mounting will keep debris in the water column so it can get to the sump. Also, find a non-suction-cup way to mount the Maxijets so they aren't falling off of the glass. HTH
