I have a Red Sea reefer 170. Looking to build a small refugium in the ato box or buy a baffle kit like the reefdreams. Which one be more beneficial?

I like the in sump idea of the reef dreams but like the ato because I can probably keep sand in there without making a mess. Idk how much weight I can load up on where the ato stand.

Some examples. If these are your pics message me or credit or removal.

Looking for a little nutrient export and pod haven.

My sump. I removed the reactor.

Based on the look of your sump, i think you would like the baffles only IF you didnt want the reactor. i think with the baffles their inst enough space for both the skimmer and reactor and return pump. You could get an external reactor as well.

I can mount that reactor on the cabinet wall and have the output flow into the refugium for add flow? The reactor is out right now, the sponges don't stay in place chasing the media to tumble and separate. (I guess gfo and carbon mixed)

Bulb! I stopped using gfo. Anybody has an idea of what would be the way to have another nutrient export method to compliment my skimmer?

Current options are

1 Refugium in ato container (redsea reefer 170)
2 Baffle a section next to my skimmer in the sump
3 Algae reactor
4 Algae turf scrubber
