help me build THE r2r tank!

hey guys i thought it’d be cool if my third reef tank (on a budget heh) was built entirely by r2r peeps! i want to make a 55 gallon breeder into and lps dominant / softy tank !! since i don’t have much room, recommendations for internal filtration would be preferred. i’m thinking maybe a HOB protein skimmer and fluval external mechanical filtration system maybe? not sure perhaps a canister filter may work! lets see what you have in mind. (budget $400-500)
