Help me calculate gallons per hour.

I can't seem to calculate the gallons per hour. Flow from my UV sterilizer.
I can fill a one gallon container in 40 seconds. How do I calculate this into gallons per hour?

So 1.5 gallons per minute. Multiply 1.5 x 60 minutes.

And....... you have 90g per hour.

Just take the number of seconds in a hour (3600) and divide by 40. So 90gph

Has others have posted just do a unit conversion

1 gallon / 40 seconds * 3600 seconds / 1 hour = 90 gallons per hour
