Hi Everyone,

I need your advice to help me with my lighting. My current setup is a Marineland 65g corner flow tank. Its 36x18x24 in dimensions. Currently debating between the Kessil ap700 which is about $545 at the moment or two Ai Prime Hd which will run me about $418 for both. The wife loves the shimmer from the kessils so that has the lead so far. I wanted you guys take on the matter. I am looking to mostly keep a softie tank with a few sps.
Thanks in advance for the help

Did you find the ap700 used? I'd got with it at that price. I use 2 kessil a360we and love them

Splurge and get the kessil A9. I've seen them and they are awesome.

Sorry Kessil; but I just hooked up this light and I like it better than the Kessil 360's I have on the same 75 gallon. The Cobalt C-Ray 200 has way more features and the lighting looks clearer than the Kessil's. The app is so easy to use, you can control more colors, has special moon lights. Liked it so much I just had to buy another, check it out.

You would have to compare that to 2 360s or the a9

I almost picked up one of those AP700s for the price, but the more I researched them the more I learned of how buggy they are

I have two 360 WE Tuna Blue's on my 75, just added the Cobalt and was shocked at what I have been missing. I bought it because I felt the Kessil's are not enough, installed the Cobalt between the Kessil's and will use them all.

Out of those two, I guess Kessil. Two Primes aren't nearly enough.

I'd actually go with a couple halides or a 6 bulb Sunpower.

I use the tuna blues also. I haven't ventured into sps though. I do love their look and the corals I do have are doing well.

Yea, I had a hard time trying to set the auto function on the Kessil's so I just operate them manually with the controller. The Cobalt I operate with my phone and tablet.

Yes, the Kessil's are a great light, but a little overpriced if you ask me. The C-Ray 200 is smaller than the AP700 but I think higher wattage. C-Ray 200 is 200 watts.

I tend to lean for the kessils but i did some research as well and it shows them as being good overall lights just a bit buggy on the app side. But price wise thats the most I'd be looking to spend. Although the primes are a bit less expensive. Still looking for more advise. Thanks for the responses.

Aqueon 65 gallon. 3 AI Primes, 2 coralife fixtures with 3 blue+, 1actinic. If you’re not doing SPS right away 2 Primes will do the job.
