Hi im having hard time deciding on a wavepump. I own a aio cobalt cvue 40g tank its the size of a 40breeder tank. Its a sps dominant tank with some euphyllias. I run a gyre 1k and a sicce 6.0 sdc pump. Im planning to upgrade my tank mid this year to a red sea 350 or waterbox frag tank. Now im torn between a nero 5 and icecap 4k. I like my 1k but it tends to be noisy while running it 90% but still not enough on the end side of my tank.
the 4k and the nero are both priced at 249. Im kinda thinking ahead on my upcoming build but i must choose the right wavepump for me.
scenario 1: 2 nero 500$$$
Pros:
Bluetooth
Wide flow
Cons
Not sure about the magnet on a 350
Not sure about the flow coverage 4ft long and 20-24” with tank
Scenario 2: gyre 4k 250$ + 150 for additional pump = 400
Pros
Wide flow
I can integrade my 1k while funding for another pump
Wifi
Cons
They tend to be loud as i experience with my 1k.
