Help me decide on a setup for a 48 x 24 x 24

'Lo all.

I am trying to decide which LED setup I should put on my new 48 x 24 x 24.
It'll be a mixed reef environment - not so much SPS.

Available I have:

2 x Pacific Sun Trition s
2 x AI Hydra 52
2 x AI Vega

I could put the 2 x PAC Suns on, or 2 x Hydra 52s, or all of the AI fixtures.
All the AIs would be controlled by the same web interface as will the PAC Suns.

I would just do the hydra 52. I have a 48 inch 90 gallon and have 2 hydra 26s so 2 52s would be more than enough.

Yes I have. But they are so expensive that the common or even more experienced hobbier wouldn't put so much money on lights because you'd need 2 of them for more coverage.

I am currently running the same tank with 3 hydra 52's

I then have my frag tank plumbed into the main system running 3 Hydra 26's

The photos below are par reading taken Friday. The 52's are 12" AWL and the 26's are 16" AWL

I hear ya - but I 'acquired' them. So I need to decide.

No doubt the AI's are fantastic...but..
