I’m in the process of shopping for a Custom tank.

Measurements are 72Lx28Dx30H

Tank will be built into a wall on a corner.

Help me decide:

1. 5/8 and 3/4 glass?

2. Regular or Starphire glass?

3. Drilled for returns or up and over the top (plumbing won’t be visible since it’s behind the wall).

I’ve heard Starphire scratches easier. Is there a specific cleaning device that could drastically reduce any chance of scratches?

I’ve also heard that LEDs diminish the advantage of LEDs from Mike Paletta’s new build article.

1. not sure what you mean
2. to my knowledge sapphire glass is stronger but much more expensive, so depends on your budget
3. if you go over the top my understanding is that it will be disable so id go drilled

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry, 5/8 or 3/4 glass. One company is telling me 5/8 will work with my dimensions, another company is telling me 3/4 is required due to power heads and watermovement. 3/4 would have stronger seams as I’ve been told.

Not sure what you mean by “it will be disable”. Could you explain?
