Help me decide on tank size... should I go crazy??

I have a GC tank probably 6 plus yrs old nice tank only a 120 gal but don't have a big room have had other brands that didn't hold up .

hmm that would be a hard one i like the look with out the rim one both top and bottom, but of it needs to be there for support then could live with it.

I went with a 180 6’ tank and regret it big time. I love my butterflies and even though the tank is big it’s not big enough. Go 8 or 10 ft and go 30 or 36 inches front to back. Even deeper if possible . Another thing I would change is going peninsula style instead of the overflow in the back. Much easier to plumb, at least in my basement.

yeah i was thinking of your tank when I was writing this thread...I agree dont want to go small on the FOWLR and regret down the rd. but also not looking forward to moving a monster tank...

I thought of making the RS 650P a fish only but decided it was to small and might as well make it a reef!

The prostar has jumped in price, like 60%. They are priced in line with waterbox and red sea now.

I would go with a large acrylic. Since its FOWL, the lights will be less, so less algae and coraline to worry about scraping off. and 8 foot long, at least
