So, I getting a nice bonus the wife doesn't know about. I'm trying to decide wether to buy an MP40 or a couple Mac daddy acros. What do you think? And if acros, any suggestions, with pics?

Tough question. Is your tank pretty full? If it will be a challenge to find a place for the acros, I would go with the MP40. The rest of the corals in your tank will thank you.

I've got a lot in there already, but have room for quality acros only. It's just tough justifying $445 for a powerhead. Is it really that good?

I know what you mean. What are you using to push water right now? You can find used ones that are really nice too. I doubt I would pay $445 for a new one when you can pick up nice ones for $100+ less. But I am an acro nut as well and it's hard to turn that down...lol. Tough choice. I say you earned the bonus through your hard work. YOU choose : ). It's only fair....

I'd go with the 40s. It's going to make what you already have better. And I agree, buy used if you can. Then you can buy one of those acros too. Hahaa

I don't have an mp40, but I do have an mp10 and the answer is yes they are that good! They move
Ore water with little to no noise, no wires in your tank, and completely adjustable. You won't regret getting it.

I've got a mag 18 with four returns, and a K1400 for surface agitation. And it shuts off at night, I don't have any dead spots. But I want the wave action and turbulence it provides. I thought a Mp10 would have done it. I was told my glass is to thick. I'd live to find one used. But people want like $380, I'd pay the little extra for new. I think that price is ridiculous for used. If you know where ones at for a good price used, I'd have to hook you up with a frag sometime. :)
