Hi all !! I need help on which led light to buy , I'm getting the jbj 20 frag tank and I'm mostly gonna do high end zoas .. thanks in advance , this are the tank dimensions 24x20x9...

+1 on Reef Radiance! But, if it's just a frag tank, you might not need the controller for the auto dimming on the Lumentek, you could do the DM132 or overkill it with the DM155 (which is over my frag tank). I have a Lumentek Pro 120 over a 60 cube, too.

I just picked up the Maxspect Razor for my 120g and I like them so far, LFS (great friend as well) has had great luck with them on his display tanks.

Thanks guys , I forget to mention I'd like to be dimmable and controllable , and be able to grow anything , I know I said I'm just gonna do zoas but I may do some lps too..

I bought the JBJ RL20 frag tank a few weeks ago. I am using the Radion XR30w Gen 2 over It. Perfect spread of light at 12 Inches over water surface. I also made some mods to the rear filtration compartment. That filter sponge had to go! A 4x7 Inch filter sock now takes It's place with a little acrylic work. I also got rid of the bottom spray bar and replaced it with a half inch loc-line flare nozzle output in the upper right hand corner. Im using the tank as a mini reef and not a frag tank. Sweet little tank! Have fun with it!

Those mods sounds good man , could u put some pics ? I was thinking a radion too but idk if it's too overkill lol ..

Dimmable is an absolute must, but why controllable over a working frag tank? If it was a display tank, sure, but a frag tank? What's the point?

I have controllable fixtures over my 2 DT's and OceanRevive Arctic S026's over my 2 frag tanks. The new Arctic T247 has built-in timers (2) and digital dimmers for great accuracy when setting your power levels. As soon as they are back in stock (they sold out the first production run in just a couple of days!) I'm getting them to replace my S026 fixtures. So $200 for an OR T247 or $650 for an ET Radion... tough call.

I'm having good luck with the AI hydra. One would do the job just fine and to answer the question of why a controllable fixture. Because it allows you to go from zoas to SPS if you want too also gives you color options from 65k or so to 20k plus

Thanks , that's one light I'm considering too

Check out the maxspect razors, totally dimmable and easily controllable.

I like the maxspect nano for the fact that it has built in controller, the only con I see it's that it only comes with blue and whites , do u know if there's a different light that has colors and comes with built-in controller too ?

Few favs on my list would be:

EcoTech Radions
RapidLED Onxy (Apex control if you can, it's awesome)
AI Vega
AI Hydra 52

Do not get the regular AI Hydra, it's weak. As with all AI, you need the controller. Too many options on color adjustment and I'm too lazy to figure out how I like it. Haven't tried EcoTech Radions but I'm planning to get some soon.
