So when looking for flow in the 3.7 what the gph I should be looking for

Depends on what you want to keep, the Hydor one that you posted will give you a 20 times turnover rate at maximum flow, should be enough for most corals I would have thought

And I'm looking to keep softies and lps... Sps if possible

i have had the same tank and have a upgraded pump that fits perfect it’s a mj106 i’d sell cheap pm me if interested

Big update on the tank, since the last post I have upgraded the pump and light. I went with the eheim and the fluval nano led and things have been going very well iv stocked it so far with pulsing xenia, gsp, red eye dragon zoa, radioactive dragon eye, red candyapples, "psycheriggadelic" zoa, red head zoa, green paly, green redactis muchroom, micronesian hammer. Anemone crab, fire shrimp, 10 blue legged hermits 10 nassarius snails, 2 scared hermits (regretfully)

All has gone very well iv yet to hit the ugly stage. I had a short issue with algea due to beinh next to a window but has cleared up in the last week the only issues iv had is with the g.s.p.
I got a small frag from a freind and was doing okayish I moved it closer to the top and it came out a little more but suddenly stopped for 5 days so I moved it down again and hasnt opened since. So I chalked it up to a loss
I recently ordered some more and it has yet to open as well.

The other issue is I think I over did it on the hermit crabs I started with 3 Scarlett hermits noy knowing how big they get I have since lost 1 due to another stealing his shell.
Part B is they looooove to trample and knock over my plugs. Just about every day I have to replace a frag that they have knocked over and due to them walking on them I very rarely see all the coral open at once which is a little bit of a bummer.

But all and all its good id love to hear any opinions on the g.s.p I know it should be relatively easy but I havnt had any luck

Thanks

What I don't understand is the lightstorm function in expensive light such as Kessil. Is that just to scare inhabitants or has a real benefit. At first the inhabitants were quite scared and went hiding during lightstorm, but after a while they act as nothing happen during simulated lightstorm.
I think it’d be major cool to have a paludarium with a simulated thunderstorm. Like let the paludarium dry out a bit and have fog or raindrops and lightening flashes.

So after 8 months it has been a journey of a lifetime switching from freshwater (6 years) to saltwater. I went from a 3.7 pico to 20 gallon nano and 4 tanks in between "upgrading" (more like faulty tank buying) I went from my 3.7 to a 5 gallon with a perfect tank swap, to a 5 gallon to a 13.5 gallon that I bought with a leak, to a 20 long gallon replacment also with a leak (instant headheach) that the tank experienced a crash in the transfer to the inovative marine 20 that finally has reached an established level... everything has done well except for my original hammer that died to a bacterial infection and my o.g green ricordia shroom that hopped off the frag and wondered off to die, I assume. But with a fresh stocking and new tank (that doesn't leak from a dallor per gallon deal) my tank is on the up and up.

I'm finally dealing with the "ugly stage" that I have never felt the burn of starting a reef tank and that is a winning battle with the introduction of some emerald crabs and some macro algea.

Updated stocking is as followed
