Hi , ive just tested my water after noticing today that things didnt look normal, and its dropped of a cliff edge nitrate wise. I have 100gall of water in the tank and sump, but i only have a small r/o unit, 20gallon a day so doing a quick 50% water change is out of the question for a couple of days, and i dont think the s p s corals will last that long, looking at them now.
I was wondering, i have a small 20litre tank and 25 ltrs of r/o water already done. If i added salt to that and got it to temperature, could i put my montipora into that for a couple of days with a basic filter until i sorted out my water issue ??????????????????????????

Yes if you need to set up a quarantine you should do so. Be sure to fully mix the salt and match salinity and temp of your display. I would also suggest you use about half the water from your old tank and the other half fresh saltwater. So you don’t shock them to fast. then do another water change the next day if nitrates are still too high
