Help me fix my dads Christmas nano!

This is my dads nano tank, after running it equipment less for awhile we finally go it back on track. So far I’ve combated him over feeding, under feeding, lights being on too long and running to powerful. The corals look great, but the algae on the rocks is a lot. His cleanup crew died awhile back, does anyone think it’s time to add a new CUC to help combat this issue firsthand?

Looks like cyano. More flow, less light, nitrate reduction most likely.
