I snapped a couple of pieces on a skimmer that I just bought while trying to assemble it. I'm pretty frustrated with the situation as it was a pain. It is the terminator II skimmer, which people either loved or had a similar frustrations with But I'm wondering if there is any way to salvage it. I'm hoping some of you DIYers can tell me if there's any way to bond these broken plastic pieces. Is there a safe epoxy or glue that would hold? Here are pictures

That sucks but you can fix that easily...

Use two part epoxy to reattach. You can find some strong stuff suitable for fixing drinking water containers at most auto part stores. It should come in clear or black, use whatever will achieve the best look per your taste.

1. Clean the pieces with alcohol
2. Apply small amount of epoxy to the piece and line up the jagged edges and attach to the skimmer. Hold it in place with painters tape. Let cure for 24 hours.
3. Once fully cured, remove tape. Lightly sand the area with sand paper around 220 grit.
4. Apply a healthy coat of epoxy for strength. Give plenty of time to fully cure.

You should be good-to-go after it cures. Good luck!
