Hey everyone. Well, over 3 years and 2 babies later. A new career and home ownership, I think we are ready to get a reef tank again. With my daughter being almost 3, she's very into nature and animals and loves fish and corals. So, help me get back into my the hobby. I have forgotten just about everything including tank parameters. I want a 75 to 90 gallon. Thinking more along the lines of 75 due to cost and maintenance. So help me out. What's new? What's cool? And what do I need to know? Thanks reef2reef family!

Welcome back!

Start with lighting, that's where all the recent advances have been made, at least in my opinion

I looked into getting leds. The only thing is is 1500 for 2 ecotechs really scares me. I'm a T5 girl but would love to try leds.

budget LED's include Ocean Revive Artcic T247, SB ReefLites, and Reef Breeders Photons, im pretty sure all are sub 400$

I got a pair of Arctic T247's on ebay for 350$. heck people have tons of success with Chinese black boxes, and T5's never hurt anyone either ;)
