I've tried everything to get rid of this algae, been battling it for months. I'm looking for any new ideas!!! So far i've:
added refugium
added powerhead
more frequent water changes
using red sea pro salt pre made from lps
top off with r/o from lps
added protein skimmer
phos guard added
countless hours of manually removing.

Emeralds ended green bubble algea for me. Not sure of red.

Try blowing off live rock with turkey baster during water change . That should help remove some of the detritus and lower nitrate and phosphate levels thus helping to reduce bubble algae hope this help

My purple tang absolutely loves it. I actually wold pick it and drop in the display for it. Problem is, it looks like you have a biocube - too small for the tang.

I have had good luck with small long spine urchins taking care of all kinds of algae including the red bubble in my cube, but it will soon outgrow the tank. Pull the bubbles and it takes care of the rest. I just kept trading them back in to the LFS ,adding a little one again when the algae came back.

Finally it just never came back.
