Hello all, I am working on a reboot of a 29 gallon Biocube that I have. Things have been going pretty smooth but I noticed these guys on one of the rocks and am hoping someone can help I.D. them for me so I can get a plan of attack to get rid of them. Sorry for the terrible pics, all I have is an outdated cell phone. Hopefully you are able to tell enough about them. I will say they are pretty tiny in reality.

Thanks in advance everyone.

They appear to be the dreaded aptasia...

Look like hydroids, but pictures are always hard to tell. If the central disk is only a few mm I would way not doubt hydroids

No personal experience, but from researching R2R it seems many reefers use kalk paste, Aiptasia X, Joe's Juice, peppermint shrimp, etc - same treatment regimen to control aiptasia.

Definitely aispiria Joe's juice works great

If its only on one rock get the rock out, put it in a bucket of salt water with a heater, wait a couple of weeks to see if any more turn up i the tank. If not your lucky and the tanks good then deal with them in the bucket or replace the rock.

I’m convinced it’s aiptasia, or at least an Anthozoa, versus a hydroid. This organism is photosynthetic and has color, hydroids are usually transparent or white; and while there is a type of hydroid that is photosynthetic, this does not match the descriptions I’ve seen online.
