Algae is everywhere!
Shortly after I started this tank I’ve had this algae and never thought much of it, until I notice it’s not going away and it’s covering everything!

My LFS told me it was Bryopsis and gave me something to get rid of it. It seemed to slow it down for about a week and now it’s coming back. It’s even covering up coral!
Someone help me! I did what I could to get a good picture.

They posted a video of “white slime” that’s pretty dang close to what I have.
Someone also mentioned a uv sterilizer, do those work to stop algae?

It hard to tell the color but it looks like some green or brown hair algae dose it scrap off easy are is it stuck on there

It is light brown. I don’t think hair algae because of how it clumps you, but I could be wrong.
And it does come off very easy. I actually sucked out a ton of it during my last water change.
I can’t imagine I’m over feeding the tank either I barely feed my fish anything for that exact reason.

I was having a similar problem with my tank when I started it up I’m not a expert by any mean but I started to doses of api algaefix for marine and stayed on top of Dosing and when I did my water change I would scrub the rock and do a 30% water change after a week or so I started to see a difference

Looks like dinoflagellates. . .. at least in my phone screen

dinoflagellates or chrysophytes
two good chrysophyte threads:

It doesn't look like dinos to me at all. Could be chrysophytes.
Definitely not bryopsis; sounds like your lfs is clueless.
Put it under a scope and you will have a better idea immediately about what it is and how to treat it.
Inexpensive wifi scopes that work with your phone are readily available on Amazon and elsewhere.

So after reviewing the other threads provided by tricha this is for sure Chrysophytes. I will be furthering my research on these as I learn, but they talked about using vibrant aquarium cleaner.
is this a good way to rid the tank, or will it harm my tank in any way.
Thanks a ton for all the help so far!
