I haven’t added anything to my aquarium for the past month and I have started to see these pop up in large numbers lately. They look kind of like small aptaisias, but I’ve had aptasia in tanks before and they grow much faster. They stay around this size die, and spread fast but don’t seem to overtake the tank or harm any of my 3 coral frags.

Hydroid. Simply starve them and they soon disappear. They grab suspended food and favor brine shrimp. To starve them, direct water flow towards them, not at them and they will not get to food source

Great I don’t mind them as long as their not harming corals.

They are capable of stinging anything nearby which does not seem to be the case for now

Not stinging anything yet, these are very small and stay very small so I’ll have to wait and see. After doing further research in hydroids I found a bunch of people that had these that said they don’t spread that much.
