Help me ID this please

Ok so I got this chalice and there was this thing on it. It was hard. But tonight after lights out I see it has tentacles looking things maybe sweepers? It’s on the underside of the chalice first pic is of it when it arrived
Next pic was from tonight

looks like perhaps a smaller coral since you said it was hard perhaps a cup coral type its likely non photosynthetic. either way neat bounus.

I have one on mine too and my thought was dead coral, mine doesn't have the tentacles though. Maybe a coral in recovery? No clue, but I am curious as well.

It has hard skeletal structure. Don’t think anemones do that

Closed up, looks like an anemone. Open looks like an anemone. All I can say

Looked up cup coral and found you might be right

May be a hidden cup coral. How interesting. They like dark areas probably why it’s underneath my chalice

I wonder how you tell if they're dead or not and if they come back alive? Something I need to research more
