So it seems like everything i put my tank starts to loose color/ bleach out and die within a month. Its very discouraging and starting to take a toll on my interest in the hobby. Please help me stay in this hobby.

Tank details
75 gallon 35X24X24 (i think) Barebottom, running triton method. 90 Gallons total system volume.
2 Mp40's set to reefcrest at 70%, and cor 20 pushing 560 GPH
lighting i switched last night after lights out to 2 Xr15's with T5 hybrid (blue plus, coral plus, purple plus, blue plus) before i had an AP700.
As far as levels go
ALK 8.3, some days 8.5
Ca 415
Mg 1400
No3 5, Had a problem keeping it above 0, switched my skimmer to 12 on 12 off and seemed to help
P04. 0.05
All levels have been pretty stable since the get go.

Water change. 10% every week. using NEomarine

I just don't get what i am doing wrong and its driving me nuts.

Are you dosing trace elements to supplement the massive consumption macro algae uptakes?

Your Ca is a little low, should be around 480 and Alk could be a little higher, 9.0. What is your lighting schedule?

No, Using Triton Core 7 that has all trace elements in it
Nice. If lps are receding like that I would think it’s a lack of nutrients. Any contaminants that could have been introduced to the tank? That’s odd it’s going downhill so quickly after being low nutrient for awhile. What test kit are you using for nitrate?

I have nyos and red sea N03 test kit

All I can offer here is support on not giving up. R2R is so great and the experts here are so willing to help out.

Sound like you are keeping a close eye on everything and with the help of people here, you will be able to figure out the variables that are causing this.

Good luck!

What intensity and color percentages are you using on your radions and what bulbs are you using?

Running the sps AB+ at 65% at mounting height of 10”. Led starts at 11 and goes till 10. T5 is from 1 to 8. Running blue+, coral+, purple+, and blue+ from front to back. Par readings are 350 top to 75-100 on bottom of tank.

I know the ab+ is like fixed percentages of the colors do you know what the reds and greens are and also the cool and warm whites? I tried one of their presets and the reds and greens got up to like 35% at the peak. Ive had issues running the reds and greens higher than 20% and with the whites any higher than 50%. Also might want to try turning down the intensity of the led while the t5s are on. Right now my radion g4 in an 18” tall tank are running at 50% intensity at the peak of the schedule and all my acros and softies at the bottom are doing really well. I dont have a par meter which always does help but id imagine that your issue has something to do with the color percentages if your par is reading like that when both the led and t5s are on.

Do you have any fish? My guess would be low nutrients as well. I'm no expert bummer though...

Coraline will take nutrients as well. It looks like your tank is really purple/pink just a thought.. I'd feed more and hopefully the new lights or something gives. Sorry man keep your chin up :)
