Help me ID. What is that?

Hii volks

My Nitrate went up like mountains the last 3-4 days and I couldn't find a reason for it yet (from about 0 to almost 3ppm or more).
I also found this on all plastics in my fuge and pipes. Not on glass or anything else.. only plastic.

Look like pineapple sponges. They tend to grow in the back chamber of my BioCube. Harmless filter feeders.

Pineapple sponges are filter feeders. They are helping to clean your tank not make it worse. They are a symptom of high nitrates, not the cause of it. They can be ugly and restrict flow, so I would clean them out, but something else is causing your nitrate spike.
