Help me identify if good or bad bristle worm

Not to hijack, just want to confirm this is a fireworm. I just pulled it from my live rock that is in QT.

100% fireworm. Would flush it.

Hi All,

I have different kinds of bristle worms on my tank. Mostly the usual and regular bristle worms we see on these forums, but today I managed to snatch a photo of the ones that I'm kinda worried about. They are much wider and usually longer than regular bristle worms and the bristles look bigger and whiter, but they do not have the red coloration of the fire worms.

Could you guys help me identify if this is a good or bad bristle worm.

Not sure if you got the answer you were looking for, but I'm going with the fireworm votes on this one especially based on the body shape and bristles.

Pherecardia striata (Lined fireworm)

i'll second this identification, these guys are not to be trusted around some echinoderms and snails, they aren't necessarily bad news and if you have had them for a while I'd say leave them.

If by any chance you live near jersey i would not mind picking them up for my own tanks

So that might be why some of my turbos, nassarius and stomatellas die? Would never have guessed these worms are to blame. Off they go then.

I live in Portugal, so I guess you picking them up is a bit out of question

do you have a sump for them? they really are good scavengers, just they also eat snails
