Can someone please help me as we are new to reefing? I don't know what these 2 things are in our 2 aquariums 1 in each tank. The 1st tank has these white looking things that has a fuzzy body to them with hair like things that come out of the top of it and if there is a tap the hairs go inside it kinda like a tube worm. The the other tank has these deep red colour cup looking things that's coming out of the live rock it almost looks like some kind of coral. Does anyone else have these in their tank or tanks? Are they good or bad?

Sticking to my story. Look like pineapples. Do they look like this?

They are generally in shaded areas of tank and are made of filaments and therefore not long lived, but also an indicator of good water quality

Often confused with grape caulerpa, these are Botryocladia which is a grape like macroalgae and are photosynthetic only require lighting and natural nutrients to survive.
