i need replacement media for my RO unit, but can't figure out what brand it is. can't find a brand on it, and the sticker on the front is the only words on the unit.

The DI Resin media is the same for all units. Just order enough for both canisiters. It looks like a standard setup. Two carbon and one sediment filter. RO membrane and two DI canisters. I would order from BRS the carbon block filters and sediment. If you order their standard setup, it should fit. If you want, bring me a filter and I can try it in mine. I have their standard 5 stage unit. Looks like you got a 6 stage.

So that looks like a two stage RO unit. Both RO chambers look to be stuffed with who knows what but looks like di resin. If I were you I would only use one of the RO chambers and decommission the other unless you need a lot of water a day. As it looks like a complete overhaul on that system you will need RO membrane (spectrapure 98% rejection is preferred); A 5 or 1 micron sediment filter and carbon block. Just make sure they are the same size (1 or 5 micron), and again I'd recommend spectrapure but any standard 10 incher will do. Last you will need a DI stage. I'd start with a mixed bed from spectapure living in Alabama. I prefer not to buy the bulk DI because they have a limited shelf life and you have to be careful to seal the extra and pack it in the tube well plus you will need a refillable cartridge your first go around. Make sure the water goes from source to sediment filter to carbon block to RO membrane, here their will be a split and one, dirty water should go to waste and clean, to DI resin to storage. That system was setup for ATO control and has a built in pressure valve and check valve and possible float switch or valve. Make sure you watch a youtube video on setting upt the ATO if you plan to use this to make sure they are in the right spot.
Summary of needed filters:
Sediment filter (1-5uM standard 10'')
Carbon Block (1-5um standard 10'')
RO membrane (spectrapure is great shoot for 75-90 gallon per day)
DI resin (mixed bed standard 10'')

Let us know if you have more questions it can be a bit confusing at first. Also sometimes it helps to see one in person that is setup and working right.

Oh edit: I just realized there were 3 chambers on top not 2. One (the white one) probably already has a RO membrane in it. You can keep using the top two as DI reservoirs and have kind of a triple DI pass at the end, but If I were you I would decommission these two clear ones and opt for a traditional 10'' housing if you want to run multiple DI filters. The way it is can work if it is packed well, but you may find you have to pay a lot on DI resin.

after doing some searching you are correct. uses the same canisters as most everyone else. thanks for the heads up on where to get the refills!

i'm going to remove the two di and go with an add on di 10" housing.
